There is a news article in the Austin American Statesman whose headlines reads: Austin Man Dies in Hospital After His Car Crashes Into Parked Truck and so it assumes that he also had a car accident which is not listed on his death certificate.

      AUSTIN MAN ? ? HE DRIVES AUTOMOBILE AGAINST PARKED TRUCK
      Bill Ayers, 52, OF 1800 Chicon Street, died at Brackenridge Hospital 8:30 Saturday night after an automobile collison, between Lavaca Street and University Avenue. Although Ayers' death followed the collision of his automobile with a parked truck shortly after 6 o'clock, hospital attendants said that no signs of injuiry were found on his body. Attendants were of the opinion that death was caused by shock or heart attack. Others reported that Ayers was taken unconscious from his automobile after it had collided with the rear end of a parked truck which belonged to M. W. Rangel, 1022 Willow Street, and that he ws carrid to the Brackenridge Hospital. Ayers, formerly a carpenter, is said to have been operating a laundrey in Austin at the time of his death. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Myrtle Ayers, one daughter, Lois E. and five sons, David, R. Q., Newlon, Martin, and Billy Joe. Thrlow H. Weed Funeral Home had charge of the body Saturday night. Attendants at the funeral home said that Dr. Burford Wetter, attending physician, had filed no certificate of cause of death late Saturday night. Funeral services will be held from the family home at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon and interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
