    Notes
    • As told by his granddaughter - Nyna Faye Slape - I was very close to my Grandfather. I was raised in the country and didn't have playmates. Since my grandparents always lived on the property with us, my Grandfather was my only playmate. Edwin had blue eyes and was ampidextrious. (So was his brother Roy.) He wore his hair long to his waist, either in two braids and piled up under his hat for pictures or pulled back and banded, then tucked down the back of his shirt. I spent many hours sitting on the arm of his overstuffed chair, brushing his hair.

The other men are unidentified. Notice the older man coming out the front door. Could this be Oliver Perry Curbow?
