Services will be at 3 pm Saturday in the Methodist Church with the Rev. James Carter officiating. Graveside rites will be in Greenhill Cemetery at Hebbronville at 5 pm. Howard Williams Funeral Home of Falfurrias is in charge. Survivors are her mother, Mrs Beulah Grantham of Premont; three sisters, Mrs Louis Ligon of Chico Calif. Mrs Tom Poindexter of Oplin, Texas and Mrs Leonard Setliff of Robstown; and three brothers, Alvin and J.C. Grantham of Premont and G.W. Grantham of Carrizo Springs."

  Notes	As told by Linda Grantham Cheesman - February, 2008: Avis died when I was a little girl. But I was there when she died. My grandmother was a LVN and she nursed Avis. She died from cancer, I think uterus, but to this day I can still remember the smell. I would sit with her and she would talk about things but being so young I can't remember about what. She had a porcelin cat that sat next to her door. I spent hours sitting on the floor playing with it. Great-grandma Grantham (Beulah Viola Rogers Grantham) lived with her in Premont, Texas.
