    • Sarah Bedwell's burial location is unknown; however, it is believed that she could be buried at the Bedwell Cemetery on the Bedwell Farm. There are several obituaries in Waco newspapers of the time period that indicate people being buried "on the Bedwell Farm." To date our efforts to locate this long-forgotten cemetery have been unsuccessful.

    Notes
    • Notes provided by Louise Champagne on 4/28/14:
This excerpt is from the diary kept by General James E. Harrison's second wife, Henrietta Hardin (Carter) Harrison, which was transcribed and annotated by my grandmother's cousins, Emma Tate and Virginia Meynard. There are several footnotes describing the location of Mrs. Bedwell's home on the Bedwell farm, which was apparently known as Bedwell Prairie.
"Albert Bedwell was the son of Mrs. W. D. Bedwell of Bedwell Prairie, a 600-acre plantation between Tehuacana Retreat and Waco." (Tehuacana Retreat" was the name of General James E. Harrison's plantation on the East side of the Brazos.)
