    • OBITUARY:
      Earl was born March 31, 1918, in Rigby {LaBelle}, Idaho, to Franklin Gardner and Effie Pearl Clements. He and his twin sister, Pearl, joined a family of 12 brothers and sisters. He attended elementary school in Ammon, Idaho.

      On June 7, 1939, Earl married Josephine Jensen in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They moved 52 times throughout South Eastern Idaho and Utah in their 70 years of marriage, living mostly in Fort Hall and Aberdeen.

      Earl was a member of the local Carpenters Union. He worked as a carpenter and farmed. He also had worked at various other jobs. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, horseback riding and loved his animals.

      Earl was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was very active in Boy Scouts and was a Ward Missionary.

      Earl is survived by his children, Earline Lish of Downey, Janette (Wesley) Andrews of Salt Lake City, Utah, Lucille (LeGrande) Andreasen of Pocatello, Idaho, Carla Wahlen of Aberdeen, Idaho, Julie (Richard) Drollinger of Firth, Idaho, Marilyn (Jay) Jackman of Aberdeen, Idaho, Ida May (Larry) Nielson of West Valley City, Utah, Michael (Alisha) Gardner of Sun Valley, Nevada, Kristy (Robert) Combs of Nauvoo, Illinois, Marshall J. (Kathleen) Gardner of St. Anthony, Idaho, and Lorin (Jolene) Gardner of Caldwell, Idaho; twin sister, Pearl Crow of Ammon, Idaho; sister, Iris
      Crow of Ammon, Idaho; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

      He is preceded in death by his wife, Josephine; 12 brothers and sisters; one granddaughter; and two great granddaughters.

      A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 30, 2011, at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot. Family will meet with friends and relatives from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2011, and for one hour prior to
      services at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Groveland Cemetery.
