Bonnie Setliff is Bride to Donald Lee Curbow
Bonnie Lois Setliff and Donald Lee Curbow of Brownwood were married Sunday, August 17, at 8:30 in the ____ at First Methodist. Bonnie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Setliff. Don is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Curbow of Brownwood. ___ Everett Y. Seale officiated for the double ring ceremony. (Portions here are unreadable.) Howard Setliff was the best man. Travis Lynch served as groomsman. Ushers were Ronnie Sullivan and Ronnie Blanton of Kingsville.
Bride - The bride was given in marriage by her father. Her wedding gown was traditional in design. It featured a lace bodice over satin and a front panel of lace accented the skirt. Her veil of illusion fell from a crown of pearls and rhinestones. She carried a white Bible centered with a white orchid and frenched carnations entwined in the streamers. The bride's mother chose a pink lace dress and wore a pink carnation corsage.
Reception - A reception was held following the ceremony in the home of Miss Victorine Burditt. Receiving the guests were Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Setliff, the bride and bridegroom, Mrs. G. W. Grantham, grandmother, Misses Mickie Campbell and Gloria Paul. The bride's table was covered with a white organdy cloth and lace insertions and matching underskirt. The centerpiece was an arrangement of pink carnations, large white mums and frosted greenery. Misses Virginia Meider and Ray Ruth Wheeler served Other members of the house party were Mesdames Carl Campbell, Joe Jackson, B. S. Smith, Jr., A. W. Wittliff, Don Stillwell, J.B. Goss, Alvin Grantham, Don Lawrence, Terrell McNair, Birdie Ramike. Ladies in the house party wore corsages of pink asters tied with rainbow ribbon. Miss Kay Thompson presided at the guest book. The bride's traveling costume was a green suit. Her hat, gloves and scarf were citrus orange and her other accessories were brown. After a wedding trip to Oklahoma City, the couple will be at home in Wichita Falls. The bride is a graduate of Robstown High School. She was a member of the Order of the Rainbow for Girls for four years and served as Worthy Advisor. The bridegroom is a Brownwood High School graduate and attended Howard Payne College. He is engaged in construction work and plans to attend Mid-Western College. Out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Gillett of Lockhart, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Grantham of Premont, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Grantham of Premont, Mr. and Mrs. B. E. Rause of Alice, G. W. Grantham of Premont, E. A. Murff of Mathis and Mary Gallaghter of Corpus Christi.
